Finding your own photos among hundreds of photos taken at events can be quite time-consuming, especially at crowded events. We're implementing facial recognition technology to simplify this process.

So how does this system work? Here's a step-by-step explanation of how facial recognition works:

ree

1. Participant Logs Into the System

The user who wants to log in to the event platform is asked to upload a selfie. This photo is used as a reference so that the system can only recognize images belonging to the user.

2. The System Converts Facial Features into Digital Data

The uploaded selfie is analyzed by special algorithms. A personalized "face map" is generated based on facial features such as eyes, nose, mouth, and jawline. This data is not a photograph, but merely a mathematical representation. In other words, the system does not store this image; it simply converts it into a string of numbers.

3. Event Photos Are Prepared for Scanning

All images taken during the event are uploaded to the system. The system then analyzes the facial features of the individuals in each photo and generates a unique numerical identifier for each face.

4. Matching Occurs

The uploaded selfie is compared with the face maps in the event photos. Images with a high match rate are identified, and only these images are displayed on the user's dashboard.

5. Users Only See Their Own Photos

This allows users to view only their own photos. Information about other users in shared frames is not shared; the system operates completely on the principle of privacy.

What About Privacy?

One of the most frequently asked questions about facial recognition technology is privacy.

In our system:

  • Facial images are not stored permanently; they are only processed temporarily.

  • The entire matching process takes place within the system and within a secure infrastructure.

  • Participants can only access their own frames; they cannot access anyone else's.

The facial recognition system simplifies the management of event photos, offering a combination of speed, personalization, and privacy. It simplifies the experience for participants and provides brands with a streamlined photo sharing infrastructure.
